Online Casino Games Company Lightning Box teams with William Hill

Australia Online Casino Games Developer Lightning Box GamesBased in Australia, online casino games developer Lightning Box Games (LBG) wasted no time getting its foot in the door of William Hill‘s executive meeting room, following the swift exit of Amaya Gaming. On the heels of Will Hill’s discontinued merger talks with Amaya, it’s been announced that LGB has been contracted to infuse their games into the UK brands’ land-based and online platforms.

At the onset, Will Hill is to be provided exclusive access to LBG’s Silver Lion Deluxe and Panda Power Deluxe games in its retail and online market. This should prove invaluable to the operator, considering the high rate of success the developer experienced with similar titles launched in the interactive realm.

The new games will be integrated across William Hill’s 2,300 retail shops, which already host more than 9,000 slot machines in the UK, as well as the company’s multiple online gaming channels. Integration is scheduled to begin as early as the second quarter of 2017, after which more LBG titles will become available to Will Hill customers via omni-channel distribution.

Mutual Excitement from LGB, Will Hill

Peter Causley is the co-founder and Managing Director of the Australia online casino games manufacturer, and he couldn’t have been more pleased with the new contract as it will give LBG an even wider global reach.

“I’m delighted to sign the agreement with William Hill which gives us an important breakthrough in the UK market, as well as the chance to do true omni-channel releases to William Hill’s online, mobile, and retail players,” said Causley in a statement.

“Our games have been very popular with players and casino owners across multiple channels in Europe and North America, and I’m confident they will be well-received by British audiences too,” he concluded.

William Hill’s Head of Product and Content, Andrew Sackey, was equally encouraged by the new partnership. “Lightning Box Games’ portfolio comes with a great pedigree and reputation, and I’m very pleased to be able to offer it to our customers as part of our great slots range,” said Sackey.

“We’re eager to see how the first two games perform as omni-channel content for our online and land-based customers, and are looking forward to working with Peter and his team.”

Who Is Lightning Box Games?

Founded in 2004 with its headquarters in Sydney, Australia, online casino games – including the Android and iOS mobile variety – are at the forefront of LBG’s slot machine development process, with land-based technology running a close second. The company also designs games for social gaming platforms.

The company has a foothold in land-based casino markets across several contents, including Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South American.

As for interactive content, the software portfolio currently boasts 46 online slots titles, and is partnered with over two dozen operators, including major brands like Bwin, Ladbrokes, LeoVegas, PokerStars and UniBet.

William Hill Moving On

William Hill has been the subject of much duress this year. A few months ago, the company was targeted in a takeover bid by 888 Holdings and Rank Group. Their offer of more than $4 billion was staunchly rejected.

Then came along Amaya Gaming, the Canadian-based owner of PokerStars. The two companies held brief merger talks before Will Hill abruptly discontinued negotiations.

This latest news shows that the UK operator is having no trouble moving on, finding alternative ways to generate a higher revenue stream through the distribution of new land-based and online casino games.
